Annual Review
The Graduate Committee evaluates the progress of each student at least once a year. Evaluations are based on input from the student, their advisor, and from course instructors, as appropriate.
Following the evaluation, each student will receive a letter, indicating whether the student is making satisfactory progress in the program, and whether they meet the obligations of their support. In case of problems, difficulties, or less than satisfactory progress, students are encouraged to seek advice and help from their advisor, and if needed, from the Graduate Committee, to set and achieve goals to make satisfactory progress. The Graduate Committee may set up further evaluations to help attain these goals.
Students who consistently fail to make satisfactory progress may be asked to leave the program. Students who are remiss in their obligations as Teaching or Research Assistants will be warned, and in severe cases may lose a fraction of their support.
